10 years later, SH flavored

[It's 10 years later- Everyone is ten years older, and hopefully ten years wiser, too. Or at least five years wiser! Even one year's worth of wisdom is good, really. Things have changed, okay.

Things have changed a lot, and it only becomes more obvious with everyone back at Hogwarts for a visit. It's a time to reminisce, to remember, and to reconnect.

Or, you know, to go about life as usual. ]

I guess I can forgive that. Hell knows I'm busy enough coming up with the final exam for my students.

[He pauses for a half second before--]

Well, sure, but there's a difference between you and just having my imagination.

[Dave is pretty sure she didn't mean it like that, but~]

[Jane immediately blushes, and thanks her lucky stars there aren't any students around.]

Well, your imagination is pretty powerful in my experience.

[She shifts her behind against him a little, totally by accident and in no way as a means to tease him.]

Yeah, but I doubt it'll be enough to last a second week. I might as well be celibate after that. Or I'll just kidnap you and damn the consequences.

[stubbornskeptic]

Are you suggesting you'd tie me up?

[She raises an eyebrow, apparently not totally uninterested in the idea.]

[There's a very innocent expression on his face.]

Whyever would I suggest tying you to our bed or the chair near the bed?

[stubbornskeptic]

And suddenly the suggestions get more specific.

[She checks her watch casually.]

Well, I don't know about tying anybody up, but I do have about two hours before I'm expected back.

You're a temptress. An evil temptress.

[He makes a face, though.]

I don't have very long before I have to get ready for class. Our schedules are conspiring against us this month. If you're not too tired this evening, though....

[stubbornskeptic]

[Jane sighs, finally turning to face him.]

I'm just about to wheel a couple hundred pounds of ingredients back to the dungeons. I won't be a very exciting bedmate tonight, I'm afraid.

[She could just lie there, of course. But that's not all that fun for either of them.]

[Dave shakes his head and kisses her.]

If anything, we'll have most, if not all, of summer to make up for lost time. In the meantime, I plan on making the most of our free time.

[stubbornskeptic]

This is true. Doesn't keep me from missing you now.

[She leans in.]

And my imagination isn't nearly as good as yours.

[strideallknight]

The feeling's mutual.

[He quirks an eyebrow.]

I'll have you know that your imagination can be perfect.

[stubbornskeptic]

Is that so? I suppose it's been a while since I invented a prank. Maybe I'll have to come up with something for you.

[Her tone makes it clear this is a different sort of prank from the usual.]
