Camp Half Blood

Welcome, Demigods!

"If you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now. Being a half-blood is dangerous."

[Basically, if you've ever wanted to throw your character into the world of Heroes of Olympus, now you can! Make them a Greek demigod! Make them Roman! Make them a Satyr if you want. Just make it so that they've always been here (If they have, all the better for them.) Post with a few options, or let people respond with their own! Have fun.]

[There's time to get back before someone notices Dave wasn't at practice. Mostly. The higher ups will have spotted a lack of their odd troublemaker but the rest of the kids might not say anything. He's pretty funny and sooo coool. At least, that's what Jade thinks.

She laughs and takes off, the wind in her face and her laughter carrying back to him. Once, she'd thought to be a hunter of Artemis. The offer had been given to her before she'd come to camp. She'd turned it down. She couldn't turn her back on people! Grandpa wouldn't want her to give up such things. She's glad she didn't take the offer.

When they get to the practice area, she slows down to let Dave go first. He has to explain himself, after all.]

Option B

What are you doing here?

[Rose doesn't need to ask how her mom got into camp. That one is more than simple enough to deduce. She can even hazard a guess as to why, given that she's currently poking her head into the Hecate cabin. But that didn't make her appearance at camp any more wanted.]

And there's this thing I can do called magic. Have you heard of it? I could make your hair limper than over-cooked spaghetti.

[personal profile] urnewkingbitch 2013-06-30 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
There is nothin' "kawaii" about this face.

[Dave gives the wounds a more critical look and decides that he won't need to dress any up. As such, he puts away his supplies and sits down next to Dirk.]

Well, if I'd known you were one of Athena's kids, I would've sent you some ambrosia. Works like nectar, but it's easier to cart around and not OD on it, since I'd just section off the right amount.
matini: ([Rose] Good old days)

[personal profile] matini 2013-06-30 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
[She grins and bats her eyes innocently at Rose.]

Checking up on my darling daughter. I miss you!
windyheir: (thinking)

[personal profile] windyheir 2013-06-30 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
Squids, huh?

[Sounds like something right up Rose's alley.]

Did they have anything interesting to say?

[A small sigh.]

There are other more efficient ways of contacting me that don't require you flaunting your charmspeak abilities in front of the entire camp.
windyheir: (woaaaaaaaah!)

[personal profile] windyheir 2013-06-30 01:57 am (UTC)(link)
Eew, not poetry!

[But as he says that, he opens the book to look at some of the poems.]

Wow, these are kind of shitty.
findsrisks: (we broke a prediction!)

You're mostly right, but the logs needed to be out of the way.

[They can't roll onto campers and pin them underwater if they're already in the lake.]

[personal profile] cephalopodcounselor 2013-06-30 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yes.

[A smirk as she wraps her towel around her waist.]

Only that the horrorterrors would be coming for you in your sleep tonight.
matini: (Nudge nudge wink wink)

[personal profile] matini 2013-06-30 01:58 am (UTC)(link)
But they're not as fun! Besides, I think Chiron's given up on stopping me by this point, so I might not even have to use it anymore.

[The grin, if possible, got wider.]

How've you been doing, dear?
findsrisks: (I found Banjou's book)

[personal profile] findsrisks 2013-06-30 02:00 am (UTC)(link)
[Nanaki is climbing up the tree as well, but she is moving a bit slower. She has a long length of rope over her shoulder and a hand-saw attached to her belt.

About two-thirds of the way up, Nanaki stops near a branch. Said branch is halfway-broken-through already, so sawing it off won't be difficult.
]

Okay, do you want to hold the rope, or cut the branch?

[personal profile] urnewkingbitch 2013-06-30 02:03 am (UTC)(link)
Gotcha. Hope the naiads don't get pissed at us, though.

[It doesn't stop him from helping, though.]

All the logs need to go in?

How fortunate for you.

[Rose remains seated on her bed, a copy of the complete H.P. Lovecraft in her hand.]

Just peachy, mother dearest. [There was enough sarcasm in that comment to choke a drakon.] I was enjoying some fine literature before you interrupted me.

[personal profile] cephalopodcounselor 2013-06-30 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Good boy.

[A quirk of her lips, somewhere between a smile and a smirk.]

Yeah, and maybe finally figure out how to make a rifle that works against monsters. [The idea has rattled around her in her head since she first became a camper at thirteen. One day, whether by her brains or another means, having a rifle is going to happen if she has anything to say about it. Monsters will probably laugh right up until she shoots them in the face.]

Anyway, it seems like I'll need an extra five seconds to draw at the very least if the repairs go right. [Five more seconds is an eternity in a fight that can last up to a minute or less.]
matini: (Oh you)

[personal profile] matini 2013-06-30 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
How lovely.

[The sarcasm slides off of her like water off a duck.]

I also wanted to know if you were planning on staying here for the year or not.
windyheir: (oh god no)

[personal profile] windyheir 2013-06-30 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
Nooooo not the horrorterrors!

[He's pretending to freak out over here. He's a total ham.]

Now I'll have nightmares and I'll have to sneak into people's beds to get any sleep and then get punched because all the other kids hates that shit!

Will you take responsibility for this, Rose? Will you?
findsrisks: (I found Banjou's book)

[personal profile] findsrisks 2013-06-30 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
If they have a problem with it, I'll take responsibility for it.

[She's been pretty good about getting all the different non-humans at camp mad at her, might as well piss off the naiads too.]

Yeah, all of these here. It's only a few, so I hope they don't mind much.

[personal profile] urnewkingbitch 2013-06-30 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Hey, just 'cause I'm an Apollo kid doesn't mean my haikus are any good. If you think mine are bad, though, you should see the ones my dad comes up with. They're even worse, no offense meant to him and all.

[The last part is said just in case Apollo decides to curse him for that. Luckily, he's not as bad with his ego as Athena, so he's pretty safe.]

[personal profile] cephalopodcounselor 2013-06-30 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
I'll be staying for the year. And likely the next.

[She might promise to come home for the holidays, if prompted.]
