Camp Half Blood
Welcome, Demigods!
"If you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now. Being a half-blood is dangerous."
[Basically, if you've ever wanted to throw your character into the world of Heroes of Olympus, now you can! Make them a Greek demigod! Make them Roman! Make them a Satyr if you want. Just make it so that they've always been here (If they have, all the better for them.) Post with a few options, or let people respond with their own! Have fun.]
Dirk Strider
[The gods made a promise to identify and bring in their children by the time they turned thirteen. There were exceptions to that before, in the form of Leo, Piper, and Jason, but it looks like they weren't the only ones. The kid currently making his way up half-blood hill certainly seems too old to be thirteen. Someone good at guessing ages might say fifteen, but like most demigods, he carries himself like he's older- like he's grown up fast.
However old he is, he's well-versed in the dangers of being a demigod. His clothes are worn and dirty, and the sword he has, slung in a sheath over his back, is definitely well-used. When he gets to the top of the hill, he stumbles to a halt, locking his knees and bracing himself against the pine tree with one hand. When a glowing owl appears over him, he doesn't even flinch. He just stares up at it.]
[Option B: Come up with your own scenario! Make it whatever you'd like.]
Option A
Imagine his surprise when he sees Dirk up on the hill, looking like he just fought through an army to get here. The owl over his head doesn't escape Dave's notice, either. He'll address it later, though. Dave rushes over to his older brother, hand on his satchel of first aid supplies. He never leaves his cabin without them. A demigod never knows when you might need them, even in camp.]

She's not surprised when he looks pretty beaten up. It's obvious the nectar has already begun to do its work though as he's sitting up in bed when she arrives. What she is surprised about is how old he looks. Definitely not thirteen or younger. Interesting. Clutching a clipboard, the welcome procedure for new campers and a pen, she greets him quietly so as to not wake up other patients. ]
Hey. I'm Annabeth, daughter of Athena and your cabin counselor. How you feeling?

He pauses in his work to grab himself a drink of water when he notices one of the new guys standing off to the side. He tries to recall his name, but it's not coming to him. What he does remember is that he'd been claimed by Athena. Leo waves him over after he finishes his drink.]
Yo. New guy. You got an interest in working with metal or something? Kind of rare for anyone not in the Hephaestus cabin to be hanging around here.

Rose Lalonde
Other days she'd go swimming on reports from naiads of longfin squid that had made it into the fresh water lake. Using goggles and a bit of magic (her mom was Hecate, you see,) she was able to swim out quite deep in order to see them up close.]
[Your choice whether your character catches her reading, or coming back out of the water.]

Dave Strider
[Dave is writing...something as he sits against a tree near the lake. He's pretty intent on writing whatever the hell it is. Every now and then he pauses, as if thinking. Dave is quick to return to scribbling down on the paper, oblivious to the world around him.]

Jade Harley
Before coming to Camp, Jade had been alone except for her dog. She'd say she had grandfather around but the reality was he'd been very stuffed and dead. At thirteen her life of surviving and learning had been altered forever.
Tonight she sits on top of the hill overlooking the camp as she sketches out an idea. Since she came to camp, she hasn't touched a rifle. It's a shame, it would be so very useful but at the same time costly. The celestial bronze needed for it could be crafted into weapons for other campers. She'd made do, converting to a bow and hunting knives.
Last time she'd been out on a quest, her bow had gotten broken. While she could get another, it had been a gift from her mom, Athena. It could be repairable right? Just a few bands of bronze that could even serve as a new grip!
Option B: Your scenario!]
no subject
For half-siblings by Athena, they sure look nothing alike. But they're both definitely smart enough to be children of the Goddess of Wisdom.]

Bekku Nanaki
[Nanaki didn't enjoy having her demigod powers. Sure, she found them useful, and she wouldn't give them up even if she had the chance, but her powers were...troublesome, to put it gently.
Being a child of Apollo, she was expected to be a lot of things. A seer, however, was not one of them. Demigods with future-sight were a rarity, and Nanaki's particular kind of future-sight was even rarer.
She tried her best to fit in at camp, but she never talked about her powers when she was asked. Instead, she could be found doing all sorts of odd things around camp: hammering down that one loose board, moving a random fallen log in the middle of a forest, changing around locations of flags during capture the flag, that kind of thing. Every time she did something weird, it was for her own purposes, and she never explained any of it, even when she got caught in the middle of one of her tasks.]
[OPTION B: Your scenario]
no subject
Yo, sis. You want some help with that?
[He can understand her not wanting to talk about her future-sight. Dave's own is pretty odd, only showing him the possible future of decisions he makes that are important in the grand scheme of things. Even then, it's not like Dave can will it to happen. It just kinda happens whenever Apollo wants it to. Or whoever gives him the vision.]

Mom Lalonde
[Roxanne is at Camp Jupiter doing various things. Flirting with some of the lars, flirting with the campers over 18, enjoying a drink somewhere, and maybe up for an extra lesson in combat if someone's not getting something. Roxanne is pretty versatile compared to most of the Camp, an unusual Roman and child of Venus by their standards, but her experience is pretty invaluable when it comes to teaching.]
[Option B]
[She's managed to charmspeak her way into the Camp, much to Chiron's utter exasperation. Still, she mostly just wants to see her daughter, but she's more than willing to chat with the other Campers. Roxanne can be found anywhere.]
[Option C]
[Choose your own adventure!]
Option B
[Rose doesn't need to ask how her mom got into camp. That one is more than simple enough to deduce. She can even hazard a guess as to why, given that she's currently poking her head into the Hecate cabin. But that didn't make her appearance at camp any more wanted.]

Gamzee Makara
[For anyone who cares to notice, there is pan flute music coming from a little into the woods. Which... is not very surprising or unique, not in a camp populated by quite a few satyrs. The quality of the music though --it sounds like the pan equivalent of elevator music-- makes it quite easier to figure out who exactly is responsible here. And sure enough, behind a few trees, in the middle of a small clearing, Gamzee can be found chilling the fuck out, as he would put it himself.
He ain't wearing pants. Of course, he ain't wearing pants. If you had ever felt how bad a fur-and-fabric wedgie could get, you'd understand. You'd understand. He's wearing a shirt though. A nice tie-dye shirt that seems to scream 'if lost, please burn or return to the nineteen-sixties'.
As stated before, Gamzee is laying down a tune. A lazy tune that makes the plants between his hooves wriggle and grow, unfurling leaves as they shoot up from between the grass and that is not a dandelion, damnit Gamzee.]
[Option B]
[Lay it on me I will follow you like fucking sister act.]
no subject
At the moment, Dirk isn't exactly looking for Gamzee, he just happens to stumble across him. At least it's not literally. Instead, he just stares at Gamzee, and at the plants he's growing.]

Rose was out for a walk, searching for somewhere quiet to read since her usual spot had been overtaken by a bunch of the other kids playing down at the lake. And while this wasn't exactly quiet, it was peaceful sounding so she decided to join him.]
I presume it's no bother to you if I sit here and read while you play.
[Of course it won't be a bother, she knows Gamzee well enough to know this is one chill dude who wouldn't mind any sort of company. It was just her expressing a common courtesy. She didn't wait for his reply before sitting down with her back against one of the trees.]
