Camp Half Blood

Welcome, Demigods!

"If you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now. Being a half-blood is dangerous."

[Basically, if you've ever wanted to throw your character into the world of Heroes of Olympus, now you can! Make them a Greek demigod! Make them Roman! Make them a Satyr if you want. Just make it so that they've always been here (If they have, all the better for them.) Post with a few options, or let people respond with their own! Have fun.]

Electra. It's not exactly the opposite, but for the sake of brevity when there's poetry and your psyche to analyze, I will agree to leave it as simply "the opposite."

[She reads the haiku over his shoulder. The smirk on her face quite evident in her voice.]

Pink and yellow as
the sunset in the summer
so damn beautiful.

[A pause.]

Now tell me, Dave, how is that not Oedipal in nature?

Whatever, it was daughter-daddy shit. That's about all I remember about it.

[He rolls his eyes.]

It could be anything that isn't mom. There's lots of pink and yellow things. As far as you know, I might be describing one of the nymphs.

At least you remember that much about it. I'll give you credit for that.

[She moves to sit down next to him.]

Is there a young nymph that's caught your eye? I'm unconvinced. You should read me another haiku so I can get a more thorough grasp on your foray into this style of poetry.
