Camp Half Blood

Welcome, Demigods!

"If you're reading this because you think you might be one, my advice is: close this book right now. Being a half-blood is dangerous."

[Basically, if you've ever wanted to throw your character into the world of Heroes of Olympus, now you can! Make them a Greek demigod! Make them Roman! Make them a Satyr if you want. Just make it so that they've always been here (If they have, all the better for them.) Post with a few options, or let people respond with their own! Have fun.]

[She sighs like she's really put out, though she's not in the slightest.]

It will be a real struggle, but I'm certain I'll manage to reclaim my faculties.

Somehow, I'm not surprised you ran all the way here by yourself.

[He makes no comment on Dirk dying right in front of him. The last thing Dave wants is his own brother dead on his watch. He cleans Dirk's wounds with alcohol and hands him the nectar.]

Drink that. It's nectar. Since you're a demigod, too, you won't burn the hell up the moment you taste it.
windyheir: (I got this)

[personal profile] windyheir 2013-06-30 01:07 am (UTC)(link)
[Of course he's not going to look, there's more important things to be done.]

It's like a million degrees out and there's not a cloud in the sky. Today is a day for adventure, not books!
windyheir: (laugh)

[personal profile] windyheir 2013-06-30 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Oh yeah, it's the best view in all of camp!

[He means the lake too, but he's not specifying that.]

So what were you doing down there anyway?
findsrisks: (I found Banjou's book)

[personal profile] findsrisks 2013-06-30 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
[Normally Nanaki shies away from any help when it comes to changing the future, but Dave is different. Dave understands what it's like, to be burdened with such a terrible power.]

Yeah, help me roll these logs down to the lake.

[They're kind of big, but they're on an open hill, so once they get rolling they'll be fine. They have an hour or so until Nanaki's vision will come to pass, so they have time to move them all.]

Of course it is.

[She gives a slight smile.]

I was spending time with a squad of squid.

[personal profile] urnewkingbitch 2013-06-30 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
[Dave puts his book away in his satchel and takes out his coin.]

Nah, I can handle the heat. No need to drag you down into the flames of shame. Let's get over there before we get in more trouble than I already am.

[Not enough of an offense to warrant instant hexing, but enough to give way to a warning.]

Do that again and I won't hesitate hex you.
findsrisks: (peeking in)

[Dirk is one of the many campers she met when all the half-god kids were suddenly claimed some months back, though she doesn't know much about him yet. Only that he humors her sometimes when she's doing things and doesn't ask questions about it.]

Well, can you climb trees pretty well?

[Today her task in question involved cutting two branches off of one of the very tall trees in one of the more traveled parts of camp. It probably wasn't the best idea, since there were all kinds of nature spirits around who would give her shit for it, but it was better than having five campers crushed a couple days from now.]

Correction, today is a day I get my poetry on as the Muses dictate. Sadly, dad seems to be dictatin', too, 'cause he's still goin' on about haikus and shit.

[Dave sighs dramatically.]

Why he's enamored by that form I have no idea, and I'm sufferin' for it.
matini: (Upper hand she has)

Mom Lalonde

[personal profile] matini 2013-06-30 01:24 am (UTC)(link)
[Option A]

[Roxanne is at Camp Jupiter doing various things. Flirting with some of the lars, flirting with the campers over 18, enjoying a drink somewhere, and maybe up for an extra lesson in combat if someone's not getting something. Roxanne is pretty versatile compared to most of the Camp, an unusual Roman and child of Venus by their standards, but her experience is pretty invaluable when it comes to teaching.]

[Option B]

[She's managed to charmspeak her way into the Camp, much to Chiron's utter exasperation. Still, she mostly just wants to see her daughter, but she's more than willing to chat with the other Campers. Roxanne can be found anywhere.]

[Option C]

[Choose your own adventure!]

There's a rather profound difference between hair touching and messing it up.

[She only then bothers to finger comb her hair back into place.]

[personal profile] urnewkingbitch 2013-06-30 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
[Dave's mouth twitches almost into a smile of amusement as he sees Dirk swallowing it as fast as possible.]

Please. I saw you being claimed by Athena, and you were able to get into Camp. Plus I'm pretty sure I didn't give you enough to burn you anyway. About 99.9% sure.

[He watches for a few seconds to make sure.]

Anyway, it speeds up the healing process for us, so you'll be fine in a short while.

[personal profile] urnewkingbitch 2013-06-30 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
[He salutes.]

Will do, ma'am.

[Dave helps her out with the logs.]

I take it you saw somethin' that needs some logs to prevent?
strumthenebula: (As you drag me down)

[Once the hilltop is silent again, Jade picks up her pen and points to the detailed sketches of her broken bow.] During my last quest my bow got broken.

[It had saved her life. The monster's sword could have just as easily cleaved through her demi-god body. It's been tempting her to switch to a crossbow, letting her shoot and move at the same time, instead of needing the time to draw. The only problem with that is she'd still need to set the bolts in. Ugh. Either way she has to have some human speed involved.] It was from mom. I think I can repair it, just a question of what the repairs will do to its flexibility and fire rate.

[It would be effected. There isn't a question about that. Worse of all, she knows from her figures that it would be a temporary fix.]

I would show you the difference, but I know if I move even one hair out of place, you'll spend an hour fussing over it. As entertaining as that would prove, I have better ways to spend my time than watching teenage boys play with their hair.

[She is not taking the bait, Dirk.]
